My Bed
After a long difficult day of exploring the world
I always end the day with slipping into my bed,
Taking me away from reality for several hours
With layers of blankets acting as a shield from the rest of the world,
With fluffy pillows that guards my resting body
And a mattress that makes me feel like I’m floating on a cloud
My bed is a place where I have my deep late night thoughts,
And where my dreamland replaces the real world
I remember when I was a young kid,
When I took this time for granted,
Where I hated every second of sleeping,
And naptime seemed to go on for eternality
Now as a teenager,
I regret ever taking this time for granted,
I treasure every second where I can peacefully sleep,
And where my sleeping time is limited
I had this bed for as long as I remember,
And no bed can compare to
The comforting sensation that this particular bed gives me
No bed can bring me to a deeper sleep than this one
I often catch myself under appreciating my bed
And the peaceful slumber it provides for me.
